Long Balconies marks a major milestone for Vibrant Films as our first fully self-funded, in-house documentary and the beginning of our original short-film slate. Directed by Cara Gaynor, the film grew from years of documenting Irish football and a belief in telling real stories from within the game.

Developed as a passion project, Vibrant collaborated closely with the Irish Homeless Street League to ensure the film was built on trust and authenticity. Following a woman who led Ireland to victory at the Homeless World Cup while navigating homelessness, motherhood and work off the pitch, Long Balconies is an intimate portrait of resilience and quiet determination.

The film reflects Vibrant’s commitment to crafting human stories with honesty and purpose. Now embarking on its international festival run, Long Balconies represents a clear statement of intent for the studio.
